In recognition of a growing need for floodplain restoration in the face of climate change, olivia’s research is focused on enhancing environmental justice within washington state floodplain. Olivia grew up in washington, perpetually enchanted by the region’s forests, seas and mountains She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from western washington. Olivia zimmerman (’22) connects communities and tribes with federal funding for restoration and resilience efforts while leading many of the team’s equity and justice initiatives.
